Morpheus8 Face and Neck with 3D Smart Frame and Burst technology provides up to 8mm of minimally invasive adipose tissue remodeling. This treatment can be used to target and minimize adipose or fat tissues in large body areas while stimulating collagen production. This is an excellent technology to help to diminish the appearance of scars and pigmented stretch marks. The Morpheus8 treatment uses a fractional Radio frequency device that uses silicone-coated needles to lift and tighten the face, neck, and body.

What are the common indications?

1.  For Men and women between the ages of thirty and fifty-five who have visible signs of aging that they would like to improve.

2. Patients who have active acne or acne scars that do not respond to oral and/or topical medications.

How is the procedure like?

A Morpheus8 treatment is an outpatient procedure. It does require local anesthesia. The patients feel no significant discomfort during the procedure.

The procedure is performed using the following steps:
1) A topical numbing cream is applied to the area(s) of the face that the patient wishes to improve.
2) A device delivering radio frequency energy through micro-pins is used to deliver the RF energy within the skin surface.

What are the pre-treatment preparations?

▪ You should avoid skin irritation or intentional skin tanning. Sun-screen is advisable when outdoors during daylight hours.
▪ You should discontinue any irritant topical agents for 2-3 days prior to treatment.
▪ You should arrive for treatment with clean skin.There should be no lotion, make-up, perfume, powder or bath/shower oil presenton the skin in the area to be treated.
▪You will be prepared: photos, informed consent, marking of areas, etc.
▪ Topical Lidocaine application or Lidocaineinjection will be applied to the area for 0ne hour before the procedure.

How is the Post-Treatment care?

▪ Immediately after treatment, most patients will experience erythema (redness) for 1-3 days, however for more aggressive treatments this may last longer. Slight to moderate edema (swelling) and a mild to moderate sunburn sensation are also common post treatment and may last 1-3 days. Skin may crust and peel for 2-7days depending on treatment settings.
▪ Before you leave the clinic a topical ointment maybe applied to the face, no bandages or wraps are necessary.
▪ There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, avoid scrubbing or trauma to the treated area.
▪ Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation.
▪ The use of a zinc oxide sun block SPF 30+ at all times after 24-48 hours.
▪ Multiple treatments over a period of several months may be required to achieve the desired response.
